The Coffin is Too Big for the Hole

Beyond life and death, the most absurd funeral feud between the powerful and the powerless begins.
A person dies; a funeral ensues; kinfolk amass.
A coffin for the dead; a hole for the coffin; a set of rules for the living.
What happens when the coffin is too big for the hole?
Who will budge in this tug-of-war between human compassion and the ‘system‘?
Based on the original play written in 1985 by Singapore Cultural Medallion winner, Kuo Pao Kun.
Directed and adapted by Li Xie.
Advisory: In relevance to the script, audiences will be placed in a funeral wake-like setting.
